PIXARGUS Multi-Camera Sensor Technology
The PIXARGUS high-capacity multi-camera sensors guarantee 100-percent quality inspection of simple to highly complex products – everything from plain round products to multiple profile extrusion. Scalable system generation with modularly adjustable multi-zone scanning and LED-based lighting elements developed by PIXARGUS.
User-friendly
Intelligent operator guidance via a 21.5” multitouch screen and a clearly structured cockpit displaying all camera images and parameter settings make for easy and swift operation. Comfortable assistance systems, such as the automatic and simplified lighting control and focusing feature, reduce the set-up effort and eliminate operating errors.
“Big Data” becomes “Quality@ Industry 4.0”
ProfilControl 7 is Industry 4.0 ready, as it can be intelligently networked via LAN or other interfaces with additional sensors, measuring systems, PDA and ERP systems, and a PLC environment. It interlinks the quality data measured by the sensors and combines them into an integrated data map. Thus, the user can analyze the results within a coherent context and condense “big data” to what is really needed.
Maximum scalability and interaction within a network structure
ProfilControl 7 is a universal system supplied on a turnkey basis and designed to be switched between various lines as required. It can be scaled up to include additional networked components. This provides a maximum of flexibility and security of investment. Simply install the computer safely in the server room and place all the camera and sensor equipment in the line – scalability can be that easy!

The housing and wiring of the system have been designed specifically for service under most severe conditions. Thus they easily cope even with high mechanical stress. Tried and tested materials, ergonomic design and precision engineering guarantee longevity and provide security of investment.

Specially developed lighting elements ensure that the measuring field is extremely homogeneously lit, allowing the camera sensors to even capture and process invisible and difficult-to-detect irregularities and defects – for example, specks, pores, scratches, blisters, fissures or grooves.

Defect Density Management (DDM)
Not every defect automatically means that a product is “out of spec”. In many cases, a certain number of smaller defects on a defined length of the product is tolerable. The DDM (Defect Density Management) module allows you to define - by simple sets of rules - defect densities and defect sizes that shall be considered as still acceptable.
Coating Check
Abrupt differences in glossiness are unwanted variations of appearance that may occur in window frame production. Also flaws in the applied coating should not be left undetected. These are the tasks the Pixargus Coating Check module has been designed for.
Groove Modul
The optional Groove Module ensures that also longitudinal grooves resulting from an incident in the production process are reliably detected. In the worst case, such grooves may run along the complete length of the product. With the Groove Module the causes of the problem can be swiftly identified and remedied so as to bring the reject rate down again.
