PIXARGUS Multi-Camera Sensor Technology
The PIXARGUS high-capacity multi-camera sensors recognize and mask out the natural surface structure of the material. The system detects even “hidden” flaws, i.e. those difficult to discern against the structure of the material. Thus even extremely complex materials can be reliably checked for most minute irregularities
Intelligent operator guidance via a 21.5” multitouch screen and a clearly structured cockpit displaying all camera images and parameter settings make for easy and swift operation. Comfortable assistance systems, such as the automatic and simplified lighting control and focusing feature, reduce the set-up effort and eliminate operating errors.
“Big Data” becomes “Quality@ Industry 4.0”
WebControl S is Industry 4.0 ready, as it can be intelligently networked via LAN or other interfaces with additional sensors, measuring systems, PDA and ERP systems, and a PLC environment. WebControl interlinks the quality data measured by the sensors and combines them into an integrated data map. Thus, the user can analyze the results within a coherent context and condense “big data” to what is really needed.
Maximum scalability and interaction within a network structure
WebControl is a universal system supplied on a turnkey basis and designed to be scaled up at any time by additional networked components. This gives you a maximum of flexibility and security of investment. Simply install the computer safely in the server room and place all the camera and sensor equipment in the line – scalability can be that easy!

The housing and wiring of the system have been designed specifically for service under most severe conditions. Thus they easily cope even with high mechanical stress. Tried and tested materials, ergonomic design and precision engineering guarantee longevity and provide security of investment.
Specially developed lighting elements provide an extremely homogeneously lit measuring field. The system detects, signals and, if requested, also marks irregularities in leather structures, flaws in the weave of glass-fiber mats, orange-peel effects on dark, opaque foils or dense spots in non-woven fabric, and even light streaks on the surface.

Defect Density Management (DDM)
Not every defect automatically means that a product is “out of spec”. In many cases, a certain number of smaller defects on a defined length of the product is tolerable. The DDM (Defect Density Management) module allows you to define - by simple sets of rules - defect densities and defect sizes that shall be considered as still acceptable.
Dynamic surface adaption
This module is a highly valuable asset, as it automatically adapts the system to the surface structure of the web: It makes it unnecessary for the operator to constantly make manual adaptations to the detection thresholds. Thus a reliable inspection process is guaranteed.
With innovative RFID technology it is possible to assign the quality data generated by the inspection systems to individual lots, coils, etc. This improves and streamlines your automation processes and makes them autonomous – a key feature of Industry 4.0.
